The Story:

Child, you chase the mountaintops to encounter My glory, yet it is My grace that desires to meet you in the mundane places you have labeled as insignificant. You’ve grown weary in your striving, afraid you aren’t doing enough, as society has conditioned you to measure your influence by production and performance. And you’ve allowed influence to become your source of identity. In a culture of consumption, you’ve been conditioned to treat My love as transactional when I am unconditional. In your disdain for the hiddenness of your home, you’ve forgotten the treasure of the hidden heart, assuming significance is determined by public applause.

Yet, child, is it not in the unseen places that the most intimate revelations of My love lie? Is it not beneath the soil that the roots are established to sustain new life? Is it not the hidden structure of a building that allows it to stand tall on a firm foundation?

Child, though you do not perceive it, your heart posture, held in the stewardship of these unseen spaces, releases worship and glory in the heavenly places. Though you do not see it in the physical, your enduring prayer in private has shifted the spiritual. Though no human eye testifies to your hidden endurance, do you not know your Heavenly Father sees and knows every detail, from when you rise to when you sleep? And it is the Father's delight to carry you in the grace of His unhurried presence as He reveals the riches of His glory to your heart and as heaven touches the walls of your home.

Even this, My friend, is not in vain.

In the folding of your laundry, you prepare with your hands a place for His presence to rest upon.

In the cooking in your kitchen, you present a pleasing aroma.

In the tending of your garden, He prunes what bears no fruit.

In the cleaning of each dish, He reveals His washing grace.

In the stewarding of your home, you welcome the Spirit to take permanent residence in you.

Child, what if here, in the mundane, lies the daily invitation to encounter new mercies? Do you not believe His presence is no longer contained to a building but rejoices to take residence in you, who are now a temple of the living, breathing God? Do you not believe in His sovereignty to meet you in unexpected places? Do you not know He is a Father who takes notice of you and delights in the treasures unseen by the eyes of man?
